Physics is nothing but math. Mathematically, everything can always be divided up into smaller and smaller parcels, forever - to infinity and beyond.

What can make anyone believe that this particle, by whatever name, will remain the smallest particle evah?

There will always be something smaller, that will be assumed to be the THE starting block for the universe. Eventually that will get down to the size of the functioning brain of the local atheist society president.

A creator - our God, whether you claim Him or not - just makes more sense, but so many are just so afraid of someone more powerful than science, the creator that invented the things that science creates to keep many occupied and employed.

I did say something about God, THE Creator. One God only. And the fear of so many that cannot stand the thought of a God, a creator that created physics and science, so much of which so many discoveries, especially in physics, can be speculated on.

The Bible, and the God of that Bible, have absolutely no problem with humans exploring things. He did make us in His image, after all, and that in itself leads to human investigation of what is. All He asks is acknowledgement and acceptance that what is is His creation.

Knock ourselves out in pursuing as much knowledge as we can - fine and dandy. Just don't knock yourself out ignoring where it came from.

Ok, so, let's recap. You asked "since when has God become obsolete." I answered....gods have become obsolete throughout the ages. Do you really believe that neanderthals were christians? What about the Egyptians? Greeks? Vikings? Un-wind your panties for just a second.

Wait, are you one of those people who believe that dinosaurs were invented by the government to discourage time travel?

As they should be. The problem today is that people try to do and explain things w/o God and that ain't gonna succeed. It should be obvious to anyone with half a brain cell (liberals) but sadly it isn't.

Didn't pay taxes? - god

Criminal kills dozens of people? -no, that was god's doing
Forgoing science and giving credit to a god has thus far been a fruitless endeavor and a lazy way to go about science.
I hope you don't breed or vote...That is something I'd expect you to say because you have chosen against belief in God. It's totally ridiculous and idiotic to try to blame our wrongs on God. Having said that, it IS how your party thinks and that should scare you:

Humans cause global warming
Kids should not be allowed to fail or be punished
Democrats have all the answers to society
An inexperienced idiot from Kenya would make a good Prez
We have to pass it to know what's in it
I could go on for hours but that's enough for now...

Your recap is like a very bad second-hand tire purchased cheaply that blows out once you reach what you think your speed should be.

Whatever you just said is completely senseless, but probably makes sense in your secularian (is that spelled right?) thought process.

Dinosaurs? Vikings (outside the spacecraft, of course)?

The Bible is the Bible. You really should check it out for yourself, front to back.

But I doubt it - you are far to busy to contemplate on what should be reality vs. what is the world.

Your choice.

Bible, very old news, if you can even call it that. Torah, Koran, same thing. However people will believe what they want. Why bother asking about it? Science has discovered a great many things that both help and hurt humans. Has religion discovered anything lately? Nope, just believe and give us money.I know churches do a lot of good , but that is more community spirit than anything.

Your thought line. You have every right to believe that. Science is what it is, and will never get to the essence of what is the beginning - and that is God.

The only reason science will not get there is because those working the problem think they are the answer, and ignoring the inventor of the problem.

God has a fantastic, out of this world sense of humor. And we are His humor.

For a time.

Who knows, they may find the actual creator maybe a God, maybe not?

Never heard the God has a sense of humor thing. That may be scary.

What? God, not a god, is bigger than everything. Are you not here? Where is a bigger sense of humor than that?

Excluding myself, of course. He allows me to be.

"He's still working on me.
To made me what I ought to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
The sun, the earth, Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be,
Because He's still working on me."

He's working on you as well. It's up to you to recognize it.

I can see the evidence. Looks mostly like old age to me though. Gray hair, loss of muscle tone, etc. Guess he is getting me ready to enjoy the next ten years so I will welcome what ever comes next. Luckily I kind of have other plans. Glad you have the faith.

Yeah, buddy.

You will believe, eventually. It's your choice, whether willing or forced.

May all your nano-nano, forever getting smaller and unexplainable parseks/strings/whatevers flow smoothly through your eternity.

You will believe whatever explanation comes your way.

OK. All I "know" is that science has brought progress as in health and technology and religion, mostly war.
