Let me be clear. The ONLY reason I make fun of this stuff is because we live in the Patriot Act/DHS/TSA America that our founders would see as FAR more noxious than some king. We are done. We are ALL assumed guilty. Land of the free, home of the brave is GONE.

Well, think about it. We have the right, on paper, to overthrow our government. How does that happen today? With computers and drones and NSA's horsepower and the incredible power and reach of the federal gummint. It is an impossibility from a citizen standpoint. It would require a bunch of people INSIDE government at key positions to bring it down so we could start over. That's the only way to keep the federal leviathan at bay enough for people who want revolution to last five minutes.

In 1775, no more than a third of 'us' were willing to fight for independence. A solid third were totally against it and the other third were more than happy to go with whomever seemed to be winning. And that was a day and age when what was considered treason and sedition could, at least, be concocted and worked up to.

Look at us; even the TEA party isn't about revolution. It's a status quo party especially when it comes to healthcare and Wall Street.

We are now government of, by and for...the government. I just try to make my peace with that. Les Evil. All of that rot. It is what it is.

Depends on what it is you intend to have stand off. I'm mostly concerned about the inevitable need to keep starving liberals at bay. Fortunately..few will armed and even fewer will be proficient.
