The racist comments one the one thread got me confused by the racist comments on the other thread.

| To imply that the opinions here are "racist" is ridiculous. Most intelligent people in this country have caught on to that old tactic "if they don't agree, scream racism." It simply doesn't work anymore, so you'll have to come up with something new. Its not wrong to question government programs that are funded by taxpayers money. Its not wrong to scrutinize how tax payers money is being put to use, used properly or improperly. Its not wrong for me to cry foul when not only myself but others have seen multiple abuses of the program and ultimately the federal government becoming enablers of worsening conditions. The welfare program while helping some is good for those who genuinely need it, however for others in their case the medicine has become the poison. What's really disturbing is how you defend these welfare system abusers and ignore the fact that they exist. That is the problem, and that simple fact right there is going to be what builds a growing base of support to have it heavily regulated even moreso than it already is and or shut down altogether. It seems clear that you've made the choice to side with ignorance and in the end when your made to pee in a cup, you've got investigators taking pictures of people receiving government funding riding in expensive cars and you observe the whole system start giving people the boot perhaps then you will smarten up and understand why it occurred. The reason it will happen is because ambassadors of the program like yourself continue to defend the actions of the abusers. Common sense working taxpayers are sick of going to work living normal lives and always struggling to get by in some sense while others sit at home, put in applications for jobs they probably don't want and collect state and government funding for free. What's worse is that some of these citizens collecting that free taxmoney are not being frugal but they are actually living high on the hog - bigscreen tv's, luxury cars with expensive accessories, drinking top shelf liquor, they've got money set aside for drugs, and they continue to often have multiple kids so they can get even more "assistance." The children often grow up fatherless and the cycle runs full circle. At some point it becomes the governments responsibility to break the cycle. |

What your ranting does demonstrate is that you are cruel, cold, uninformed and unsafe. You deserve my pity.

| Seem fair to me. Seeing how incredibly much you receive already, it's nice to give some back. Right? I mean seriously, if you corner the market on scorn, pity and ridicule (and you nearly have), there won't be any left to heap on anyone else, now will there?

What your response to his statement shows is that you fear too many people figuring this out and cutting you off of your ill gained assistance. Quote:
He deserves you to show up and clean his toilets, or wash his cars, or any other menial labor that he can get out of you as repayment of stolen tax dollars used to support you and those like you.

I still count it as true and accurate anyway. The reference to the "hoodie" was just a re-take from the Trayvon Martin murder case.

So evidently you think your, opinion is based on fact and accuracy, Im only asking that you post links that will back your opinion and make it fact. I certainly dont see where that could be a problem for you.

![]() Food stamps cost the taxpayer money so don't act like it can't be treated as so when people abuse it. It's also not hard for people who get cash on the job (thus when I worked in a grocery store I saw people with just ridiculous stacks of cash using the EBT card) not to put it in their banks and still benefit from the system. The only thing some of these people are poor in are morals. Also, don't tell me applying for a job takes 8 hours a day 7 days a week. I am saying WHEN they have the extra time, which they do, set a certain amount of work they need to do for the community over a two week period. Trust me when these people have to work for their free handouts the system will be abused less. And don't tell me I didn't see what I saw. I saw more abuse than those actually in need of it. I have seen the abuse first hand. Take those rose tinted glasses off when looking at the system; it needs more regulation and ways for store employees and the general public to report abuses. Also food stamps should not be able to be used on premier items. You are getting taxpayer money to help you survive not to let you live the life of luxury. | |
