Ah, why debate facts, when you can just call names. And whats making us look dumb again? Sorry, but when it comes to violence and crime, the ivory towers are the last place I look for solid advice. Sorry, but academia has repeatedly shown that they will follow each other like cattle over things like speech codes and other PC idiocy. So the numbers of these presidents who sign on just demonstrates this principle. Why should we believe this is any different?

Again, when you agree with a government that has slaughtered and starved to deaths millions of it's own citizens and has mandatory birth limits including forced abortions, should you not then examine your ideas on a matter? If not, why not?

This appeal to authority fallacy of yours is particularly egregious in light of the almost certain fact that the vast majority of educators on that list have nothing to do whatsoever with guns. I'd be surprised if any of them were law-abiding gun owners. The cat is more an expert on geothermal energy than your educated idiots are on guns.
