If the gun fear culture didn't insist that our children should be defenseless and then advertise that fact, most would still be alive.

How many laws were broken in CT?

Disputing this is what makes you and the others not look very smart, facts are not on the side of the gun culture in this country or on this board.

Ah, facts. Lets talk about those facts. As usual, raw numbers are easy to toss around. How many of those children were killed with so called "assault weapons"? And weapons that have magazines holding more than 10 rounds? How many were killed in places with tough anti-gun laws like D.C.? Like the people that see car crashes and want more speed enforcement, the proposed solutions are not ones that could fix the problem.

No one will deny we have a problem we need to address. The debate is what steps we take. And since an all out gun ban just plain isnt on the table (see 2nd amendment) the "DO SOMETHING!!!! ANYTHING!!!! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!" crowd, rather than analyze real solutions, would rather reinstate something that didn't make any changes in the 10 years it was in place.

Lets not knee-jerk our way into feel-good laws that don't change anything. Speed enforcement doesn't reduce crash rates because speed causes very few crashes. And banning weapons that dont exist and high capacity magazines wont fix this because they are not the problem.

Those anti-gun fools contributed (and will continue to contribute) to these types of killings. Maybe if the anti-gun fools weren't around - some of the teacher's may have been carrying (concealed) and saved many lives. Do these anti-gun fools actually think the bad guys won't be able to get a firearm when they want one? Are they that stupid? All these anti-gun fools are doing is preventing law abiding citizen's from protecting themselves and family. You anti-gun fools should be so proud!

Typical gun culture question, you shoud be asking how many more children must die before peole stand up to the NRA and the current gun culture that allowed this to happen.

Not from the post that I have read.Nancy Lanza took her son to the gun range, she thought just like many here do ...she has everything coverd, those anti guns jerks no nothing I'm prepered,.She thought to herself Adam is safe around guns, she gave him money to cover himself in kevlar from top to bottom.
What she didn't know is he used what she taught him to kill her and 26 others,20 being innocent children who did not one thing to anyone to warrent this.Yes Nancy Lanza knew everything everyone on this board knows, and she is dead, killed by her own hand, well just as good as.

The NRA is a grass roots organization comprised of people that enjoy their constitutional rights. If you want to live somewhere you have no constitutional rights, feel free to move. That's your right

What allowed this to happen was putting a sign in front of an elementary school that says "If you come in here shooting we can't do anything to stop you" So if you want to make a name for yourself and go out in a blaze of glory where would you go, some place you might get shot quickly or a place you can be assured of encountering zero resistance?

That boy was crazy not stupid

The assault weapon ban you seem to think would make a difference is currently in effect in CT.
Did it work?
