An NBC news report from last Friday that states they were given information from unnamed federal officers that stated that only handguns were found within the school and that there was not a rifel used.

The report seemed to have been lost in the shuffle of Christmas and never picked up on. If there were only handguns used, why is the rest of the media saying a Bushmaster was used? Something stinks?

I remember asking this back in the beginning. Initial reports came out on day-one stating the Bushmaster was found in the trunk of his car. When later reports came out that he used an ‘assault’ rifle I was asking what happened to that report?

I think rational thinking people know exactly what’s going on here. The media is in on the whole ‘ban assault rifles’ propaganda and we’ll never get the whole truth.

I was wondering how this was going to go, what the facts are. The reason handguns are most commonly used (of our 12,000 or so homicides a year, about 300 or so are rifle related) is because of the conceal-ability.

Me too! Seems like every single shooting since has been death by bushmaster....

And how the hell does an ME get away with making such an asinine statement??? Seriously, does he have x-ray vision that can calculate entry/exit wounds to the 1/1000th inch and determine the caliber used just by cursory examination?

On the day of the shooting, news reports specifically noted that only two handguns (semi-automatic Glock and Sig [I believe]) were with the shooter in the school. There was mention of an 'Assault rifle' and another weapon being found in the car in the driveway. There was no mention of the 'assault rifle' being used in the shootings for about a week when someone mentioned that the shell casing for the 'assault rifle' was found in the schoolhouse. At that point NOBODY has mentioned semi-automatic hand guns again. It has all featured high-capacity, rapid fire assault rifle and high-capacity clips.

He knows who pays his salary. I'd guess he was told to play ball because he damn sure knows what various GSW's look like.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The county in which Sandy Hook is located was seen as a safe place to live. I wonder how many GSW's the ME has really seen in his career.
