NBC's David Gregory violates gun law!

Washington D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier has confirmed that the department is looking into allegations that NBC's David Gregory violated D.C.'s gun banning laws during a recent taping of Meet the Press.

Perfect opportunity to point our just how stupid this whole 'clip' argument is.

It should be laughable that anyone, including an ahole like Gregory, may have broken a law because of a lump of stamped metal with a spring and follower in it was a little bit bigger than another one.

It's funny, but we all know nothing will come out of this "investigation".

I'm sure something along the lines of "the magazine wasn't real", "it was rendered inoperable", etc. will be said. As if ignorance is some kind of excuse.

The NRA should race to his defense and use the opportunity to expose just how stunningly ludicrous this 'Anti sheet metal of a certain size slightly larger than that size' is.

Wayne: "This 'clip' does not kill people. In fact, hi cap magazines tend to jam more than low capacity ones, giving a chance to return fire or get away. The guns it fits do not kill people. People kill people. They do it with all sorts of things from baseball bats to knives to revolvers to shotguns to tedious, pedantic, asinine conversations and arguments about sheet metal and springs and followers that makes peoples brains shrivel up and die thereby shutting down the central nervous system and the attendant total collapse and death of innocent victims."

I'm sure you're right. It's just karma on Gregory from that interview with Lapierre that this is happening and made the news.
Picture of Gregory when he first hears the news of the investigation: Priceless!

And karma has handed Wayne and you and me a golden opportunity to drive the point home how stupid Gregory and others are being.

I wouldn't rush to this jackasses defense. He hates guns, and will still hate guns even if the NRA pointed this out.

Definately a talking point for the NRA to expose the hypocricy of idiotic gun control laws.

Oh yea, this thing is spreading fast. I hope something comes out of it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

This isn't for his sake. He makes a GREAT prop. Use his dumb ass to make the point.

And if the opposition were sane, rational people without their own agenda you would be able to do just that very thing.

But they're not.

You, Larry Gude, can argue with one person successfully and have a decent conversation about the issue. When you get onto a national stage with everyone and their dog chiming in with irrelevant "points" and general melee, now it's a worthless waste of time unless you just like arguing with four-year-olds and senile cranks. And if that's how you get your kicks, I could have really used you this past week.

And they can, without defending him.

"Sure, you can go on air makling a point for gun control as much as you can, but since you broke the law, we will p[oint it out. Then you can go back to making your point on gun control".

It's not going to change his mind, nor the minds of the people who watch him.
