It’s funny that many of these parents will take their kids and shove them into daycare to allow someone else to raise them. It’s funny that many of these parents choose to medicate their kids rather than raise them and discipline them. It’s funny that many of these parents just assume shove their kids in front of the TV or computer as a means to babysit them rather than spend quality time with them. It’s funny that many of these parents want to be their kids’ friends rather than be their parents. Then, after all of the neglect and appeasement to giving our kids their every whim and way, we wonder why our kids flip out when something doesn’t go their way.

Ugh You do jump to a lot of conclusions Though I agree that some kids are too young for that discussion. I do however have friends who discussed it with their younger ones because they knew they would hear it elsewhere. If those kids wanted to send notes, and it was their own idea, then I don't see a problem with it. If the parents had a hand in it, then I have a problem with it. And yes ....people on both sides so the aisle use their kids when it comes to their activism. It's disgusting | |

1. I’m puzzled as to what is gained by getting kids involved in an anti-gun campaign? They should be outside playing, learning, experiencing. How many elementary school-aged kids even understand what gun control is? Are these kids being taught what the 2nd amendment says about this? Or are they just being thrown out there by parents/teachers for their personal agenda. We all know when it comes from our kids it puts a far deeper emotional impact on it. ![]() 2. Which gets to my second point… Why do we need to rely on our kids to get political/philosophical matters resolved? Are we so incapable, as adults, to figure these things out that we have to involve our kids and put them in the driver’s seat? Along with my list of things I left out that we put too much pressure on our kids to get in the middle of these things that we forget they are kids with under-developed brains; ill-equipped to process things.
