| MORE about The Fair Tax I don't get to listen to Neal Boortz like I used to, so I missed the news that he is retiring from his radio show after 42 years. He is a Libertarian, but very much a conservative one. He had a no nonsense radio program which deals with political issues of the day, and it was always very lively. The reason I know who Herman Cain was is because of the Neal Boortz show, as Herman used to fill in for him as a sometimes, when Neal was out. Herman is going to be Neal's successor. Good for him! ![]() I just got this email from Neal about The Fair Tax. THIS is what The Fair Tax needs! Someone dedicated fulltime to seeing that it gets passed in Congress. Who better than the co-author of The Fair Tax Book. I can't wait to see him in action, especially in the media. He is a very astute, confident person who can turn circles around them and he is politically incorrect and very funny about it. It will drive them bonkers. ![]() Quote:

| Well, he better be screaming it pretty loud, because no one is listening so far. Except for the fact that people just don't like change, I can't understand for the life of me why people put up with the same crap year in and year out. Every year I sit down do my tax return I think "Why the heck do we do it this way?" It is the most ridiculous, most convoluted way of doing taxes I can think of. No one should ever have to hire someone else just so they can make sure their taxes are done right. The thing I like about the sales flat tax is everyone gets to decide how much they actually want to pay based on how much they decide to spend. The new normal will be everyone seeing larger paychecks. It makes it impossible for the government to predict revenues though; but given they have gotten used to going hog wild on our money, it would force them to exercise actual fiscal discipline. Of course it MUST, MUST, MUST be accompanied with an amendment to the constitution that demands a balanced budget.

I know it's hard to be positive in these days and times, but if anyone can get this done - I believe a person like Neal Boortz can. Besides, in his email (sent to me by TheFairTax.org) he is saying that he's retiring from Radio and he's going to devote the rest of his life getting H.R. 25 passed. He will be loud. He will be passionate. He's the CO-AUTHOR of the first Fair Tax book along with (former) Rep. John Linder (R-GA), who used to be on his show all the time. Neal's show actually originated in Atlanta. (on WSB) He's made a living for 42 years as a very successful talk radio host. He is syndicated, but I have never heard his show on stations up here. Liberals' heads explode when they hear him, so that's probably why. You can find his show online though. Believe me. HE knows what he is talking about when it comes to The Fair Tax. He is loud, he knows how to be heard and will be heard. | |

| I always liked Boortz. He spoke the issues point blank, no holds barred. I believe he has a residence not too far from me here in SW Fl. The main problem with the Fair Tax is that it is fair, and there are way too many people in DC that just cannot stand the concept of fairness for those they do not represent or identify with. Besides that, if a plan like the Fair Tax was implemented, it would put a lot of people out of work, especially in the capitol region. I support the concept of a Fair Tax - for all.

| The main issue being the amount of tax loopholes, and special interest group deductions. It's going to be hard convincing people they should give that up.

| That's unfortunate. I didn't no about the Fair Tax until Mike Huckabee talked about it during his 2008 campaign.
