So much for the "happy family" ... 'cause the son of the woman who created "Barney & Friends" has been arrested for allegedly trying to MURDER a 49-year-old man in Malibu.

Wait - that's not true. What I've learned is that parents (and everyone else) own their own behavior, and whatever terrible things they do do not reflect on us. They cannot embarrass us, only themselves.

My kids could not stand that show, along with many of their fellow grade-schoolers. This was one of their kid songs:

I hate Barney, he hates me,
We have a plan to kill Barney
Point an M-16 right up to his head,
Pull the trigger and Barney's dead.

Mind you, now, this was before Clinton's ban on so called "assault weapons".
