More Md. Gun Control BS

Lawmakers in at least half a dozen states, including California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania, have proposed legislation this year that would require gun owners to buy liability insurance — much as car owners are required to buy auto insurance. Doing so would give a financial incentive for safe behavior, they hope, as people with less dangerous weapons or safety locks could qualify for lower rates.

Read some on this. Read somewhere that the cost per gunowner would be between $1600 and $2000 per year. The insurance companies would make a killing. Forcing people to purchase insurance....why does this sound familiar?

On another subject, the vote on Maryland's SB 281 (your basic gun ban bill) for committee is going down today. If it passes, a full Senate vote tomorrow.

They are bound and determined to keep us unarmed victims.
I guess, if Maryland does pass Shall Issue (BIIIG if), lawmakers and law enforcement are going to go through the records to see who does and doesn't have liability insurance; if THAT passes here; so they can round up the folks that don't. It's just another way of drawing revenue for the state and just another way to try to ensure that Shall Issue doesn't get passed here.
I wish I could say, 'That's it!" "I'm done!" "I'm moving to....."

:Fixed:

Meaning the attitude towards gun owners will be that they are all the people the President referred to as seen below.......

Quote:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
