Ouch..
But that right there is why I made the decision to close shop and go work for someone else, after Katrina and the gas hike, then the taxes that owemalley was proposing, I saw business drying up, a whole sector of people that used to be willing to pay for landscaping were suddenly cutting back, and to many, sticking their own plant in the ground and slinging their own mulch was a good way to save a few dollars..

What we need is for both sides to take their finger out of each others face long enough to sit down and come up with a way to get out of this without killing the average American working family.

Oh wait, that would mean working with each other. never mind.

Obviously because I couldn't catch it on just the local news stations because we don't have expanded channels at our office. Since we pay for it, we only pay for the bare bones channels. I did a google search and didn't see anything reported on what he said.

I wouldn't have to do it for six months. Or six days. Watch how fast I'd be getting another job and giving everyone the big-fat middle finger on my way out the door.

I'm with you on this end. I think Congress's pay should be slash right the hell in half right now, permanently - and that's IF they do the job they are paid to do. If they don't do it, they don't get paid at all. And if they don't like it, welcome back to the private sector, #####es. See how well that "I am royalty" attitude serves you out here in the pits.

The liberal media doesn't want to cover it.

I agree - but it would help if "someone" would stay in DC long enough to sit down and work on the issue. No.... its more fun to go golfing and have the wifey go skiing and appear on the Oscars, and go down to VA to complain that the nasty GOP is going to allow the sky to fall.

We are all screwed.

Exactly

All I have gathered today from the talking heads is that sequestering is going to happen. I am starting to think both sides support this “meat-cleaver approach."

the question is, why are the people who are working hard having to cut back while it seems as though those who are not working aren't being asked to cut back.
To answer your question first - Good question. Ask your rep in congress why those on the dole are not paying or giving up anything. Ask your rep, point blank, on video, and then post on youtube.

I am assuming nothing. I am stating hard, financial fact. It is not new. It is not a novel concept. It is, and has been, financial reality all along. It is the responsibility of the individual to live within their means, and plan for shortages. Self dependence.

Yeah, right, today.

If your income relies on others, especially government, then expect possible shortcomings. Plan ahead. Be prepared.

Or just plain lock and load, Amerika.

Be prepared. Wow. The Boy Scouts and plain common sense are so done because of our current society.
