Actually Wenchy, have never been on or through the Bay Bridge Tunnel. Is it really that bad? I mainly dislike the rte 50 bay bridge just from the fact absolutely zero shoulder space on either span.

Bay bridge tunnel is great. have to make sure to stop at the third island (heading to Virginia Beach) or the first island (leaving Virginia Beach) they have a gift shop, and restaurant and the fishing pier that is a must walk out and see type deal.
Spent many a night pulling in rays from that pier. God only knows how many beers, quarts of shine and whatever else we consumed down at the end.

What do you do with rays, I've yet to make one palatable.
