One of the comments triggers a very good point. The EPA has banned many of the cleaning products that were once used in hospitals. Perhaps returning back to the use of bleach is what needs to be done.

overuse of antibiotics

Directly attributal. Friends who have children same age as my daughter have already gone through 10-20 courses of antibiotics. My daughter? i filled ONE of the scripts I was given and kept a hold of it in case she got worse and never gave it to her. These antibiotics every time there is "fluid in the ears" or some such is why we have these super bugs. helicopter overly concerned parents, docs eager to get rid of whiny obnoxious patients who dont feel like explaining for time number 10000000 that their virus will not be helped by antibiotics..and people who take them but dont finish the course all contribute to very frightening bugs.

that and the parents who misuse antibiotics. friend of mine only gives antiniotics until the kid feels better, then saves the rest for the next time they get sick. doesn't take the kid to the doctor, just gives them left over antibiotics.

I was very blunt when my kid got diagnosed with MRSA in exactly who I blamed.

Ignorance. Complete ignorance as to how these medicines work. I even had a NURSE one day tell me that advil and motrin were two different medications. This is another reason why healthcare is so expensive, people do not have common medical sense. How many kids with fevers are in the er? they all get the same "treatment" alternate tylenol and ibprofen. And dont get me started on all the girls I had to clue in as to how their BC pill actually worked.

Is the Tiger Beetle now considered a 'superbug' as well as being endangered ?
They have eaten the cliffs and are now headed for the back gate
