But for the poor taxpayer who get screwed all the time, hours of waits at airport, Democratic gloom and doom the world is coming to an end, lets blame the Repubs, and while were at it lets slip this in to the budget.


TSA signs $50 million uniform deal, as billions in federal cuts ripple across America

On Feb. 22, the same day the contract was signed, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said the sequester cuts could result in flight delays as long as 90 minutes at major airports in Chicago, New York and San Francisco and warned about furloughing air traffic controllers.

Then, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who also has warned about furloughs, said this week that long lines already are forming at major airports, a claim disputed by airport officials.

If the contract was issued prior to then they have to pay up. They shouldn't have done the uniform update in the first place...TSA needs to go way.

While at an AF base getting ready to close they still had to honor contracts to tear down housing and build garages in thier place. The base closed and a few years later everything was leveled. Yup- huge wastes of money everywhere in government.

Wow, you are so right, i must have missed this entire sequester thing.
Per Obama, due to sequester and the cutbacks, i am now threatening American taxpayer citizens with it will take you hours to go through airport security. I did miss the part that said we are hiring more people and need 50 million of your bucks for uniforms while i am terrorizing the American tax payer.

All government contracts greater than $25,000 are supposed to include a Termination for Convenience clause. The government has to pay for any expenditures, including profit and cost of proposal preparation, but does not have to pay for any expenses incurred after the clause is exercised.
