Kerry's Wife Tells Reporter to 'Shove It'

BOSTON - Teresa Heinz Kerry urged her home-state delegates to the Democratic National Convention to restore a more civil tone to American politics, then minutes later told a newspaperman to "shove it."

At least Dick was honest about what he said!

Quote:
Vice President Dick Cheney recently came under criticism for using a four-letter obscenity in an exchange with Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., on the Senate floor. He later was unapologetic about the remark, saying: "I felt better after I said it."

I think more people should tell the media hounds to shove it.

This may be the first thing that's happened on the left side of the aisle that I respect since Clinton made DNA-soup on Monica's blue dress.

Now this is really interesting.

Heinz Kerry attended a Massachusetts Statehouse reception Sunday night for fellow Pennsylvanians, telling them, "We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics." She criticized the tenor of modern political campaigns without being specific.

Minutes later, the Tribune-Review's Colin McNickle questioned Heinz Kerry on what she meant by the term "un-American," according to a tape of the encounter recorded by Pittsburgh television station WTAE.

Heinz Kerry said "I didn't say that" several times to McNickle. She then turned to confer with Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and others. When she faced McNickle again a short time later, he continued to question her, and she replied: "You said something I didn't say. Now shove it."

A spokeswoman for Heinz Kerry later said, "This was sheer frustration aimed at a right-wing rag that has consistently and purposely misrepresented the facts in reporting on Mrs. Kerry and her family."

Doesn't that sound like a typical Kerry response?

Okay, the reporter was maybe overzealous in getting an answer to his question, but instead of clarifying herself, and explaining to the reporter what she meant, she turns on him.

Wouldn't the two of them make a hell of a first couple?

Who said Bill and Hillary were the only ones where you could get two for the price of one?

sheesh. Betweem this chick going off and a bush daughter sticking her tongue out at the media, I think these guys should keep their families out of the political light. They just can't handle it.

That goes for ALL politicians, as far as I'm concerned.

When I read about Heinz Kerry and the Bush twins, my first thought was, "Don't these people have jobs or something?" I'd like to see a President's spouse who works for a living and stays out of the media spotlight.
