Quantrell Pryor [16] was stopped by Dearborn police Tuesday at Fairlane Mall when officers believed he was in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was not stolen, but Pryor panicked and swallowed cocaine he had in his possession, according to the report.

Kid dies, parents sue

Dearborn police stopped Pryor (pictured, left) last Tuesday outside the JC Penney department store at Fairlane Mall when they noticed the left rear window was broken out in the vehicle he was driving.

It was initially reported that the vehicle Pryor was driving was not stolen, but Dearborn police have confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Tennessee. Police also confirmed that the substance in his possession was cocaine, according to reports.

Police said he repeatedly denied that he had ingested any drugs when questioned by officers.

Police said Pryor was belligerent and uncooperative from the time of his arrest.

Pryor has a history of drug arrests, according to police.
