I saw that on the news the other day. Kinda scary knowing that most of us carry a cell phone and the thought of it blowing up.

There was a recall on certain batteries for the LG510 phone. It said they were counterfeit batteries of low quality and could explode while charging.

Yes. I believe it was in Consumer Reports recall section a month or two ago. I'm sure the Chinese are flooding the market with name brand look alike batterry's.
