Large Deer just hit

a large deer was just hit on Wilson Rd and Allday Road. The deer's right front leg was broken but it didn't seem hurt any where else. It limped on across the road into the woods, going in the direction of Cassell Rd.

Is it hunting season now? I'd like to see the deer put down rather than die a slow painful death. Someone would have to track it. It was ambulatory, but it's right front leg was def broken.

Can anybody do anything?

No it is not hunting season and deer are remarkably tough, chances of survival are pretty good, at least until next hunting season in the fall.

There are several three legged deer and or deer with broken legs that have been around my work place for years.

I texted her back by simply saying..."Did you keep it?"

She didn't find it very funny and still brings it up to this day

I missed one by about 20' this am on base. She busted out of the brush on my right and ran parallel in front of me which gave me time to brake to about 15mph before she turned in front of me. I briefly thought about "beating the train to the crossing", but I've got a three day weekend coming up and didn't want to spend it in the hospital.

That deer will be eating your shrubs in no time at all, just like nothing happened. Animals are not people, people have been spoiled by hospitals, get what I mean?

BUT... if you see that deer again, just look him in the eyes and say...

"a little worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion, and smoke browning sauce will fix you right up!"

a young buck came out of the woods around our house this weekend. he had the start of his antlers. two good size nubs on top of his head. and of course he was eating the plants in my yard. he's got the entire woods to eat from and he decides to eat my plants. i banged on the windor and he darted off.
