baby sign language

I am starting today to teach my baby to sign, I will be using this site:

If you have a better one please let me know, also if you have taught or are teaching I would love to talk.

We did that with our baby.
I can still remember that day when she first signed back.

my wife was getting her lunch ready and in that little baby talk voice that women do, she asked if my daughter wanted the squished peas for lunch..

and the reply ,,, well, hold on, I got it on film let me dig it up for you.

That site seems ok at a glance. There are lots of good sites out there.

Just make sure that you are using real ASL (Amer. Sign Lang.) signs with your child, not some dumbed down version, which some baby sign language programs use.

Think of it as talking to your baby like, "Awww wook at the wittle baby-waby." and then trying to figure out in a year or two why your child can't talk right and no one understands him.

hborror, I teach my kids ASL. Both of my babies' first sign was "Milk" since they were 3 months old.

I taught Girlie "yes." She learned it VERY fast. I can't remember why we didn't teach her more.
