wear flip-flops...its what I do

YW

seriously though, following this thread...I don't understand how any person has an issue like this with their socks...I can't believe its widespread enough to have multiple responses with other kids that do it was an interesting read.

O, and to the person that mentioned just not wearing socks...It isn't so much an issue of the coldness as to why you should wear socks if you wear shoes...it is the aspect that if you don't wear socks but wear shoes, you are very likely to contract a foot fungus/bacteria/whatever because of the moisture that gets trapped in your shoe from sweat and whatnot and then it is just heated because your body heat is expelled through your feet and also trapped in the shoe..

so basically, if you're going to wear shoes...put at least ankle socks on

I agree. Plus you have to worry about blisters as well. You'd be surprised how many kids have this issue. My sis-n-law told me her daughter had it when she was younger. She's still pretty particular about all her clothing including socks. Hopefully mine will grow out of it. My oldest daughter hates those little ankle socks but I do get her to wear them sometimes.

My 7 year old daughter also does not like seams in her socks. We used to go to battle every morning with the socks. She would try on probably 10 pairs before finding the ones that didn't hurt her toes. I started searching for seamless socks because I couldn't take it anymore. I finally found some called smartknit kids seamless socks. These socks have saved us hours of battling in the morning and she loves that there are no seams to "hurt" her toes. If anyone is interested I found them online at therawear.com.

I had this prob with my oldest several years ago and found some appropriate socks at Walmart. I bought some from there that I thought were ok but she's complaining. Has anyone else gone through this? Did you find any socks that worked? TIA
It's June, we're in Southern MD.. why is she wearing shoes?

It was an old post that I pulled up because my son drives me crazy about this...

Sorry, I hate pulling old threads, but I needed to respond to this because there are so many who are going through it...

My 8 yo daughter is exactly like this. She has 2 pairs of socks that she wears, without complaining. I got them at gymboree.com. I need to get more. Thank goodness its summer..thank goodness for flipflops.
