Man, I can't believe the amount of money some of your kids are getting for their teeth! My daughter, who is going to be 10 (!) in a few weeks, started out getting a quarter. Now everyone gets a dollar. I hope they don't start comparing stories or we'll be in trouble! Of course, if the tooth fairy paid a little more, then maybe the daughter wouldn't wait until the teeth were already dead and gray because the roots had already totally dissolved before even trying to pull them out. She is such a wimp!

The tooth fairy had to come out of retirement last night. Our youngest son lost his first tooth while eating dinner. We heard a crunching sound and asked him if he had lost his tooth. After digging around in his mouth, he pulled out his tooth. Luckily, he didn't freak out about it. I had told him to be careful when eating because he had two loose teeth that could have come out at any moment. I had also told him that I had swallowed one of my teeth when I was little.

Unfortunately, the tooth fairy only had a $10 so that's what she left. Oldest sone got $20 (again... that's all she had at the time). More than likely, the tooth fairy will have to make another visit within the next few days.

I have convinced both my son's to leave their teeth on the dresser so it's easier for the tooth fairy to find. They don't want to risk her missing their teeth under the pillow and not leaving some money for it.

My youngest son thinks that the tooth fairy using the teeth to build her house. Once she gets enough teeth, she can build another room onto her house.
