Oh stop.

The 3 year old was gone for 45 minutes and the Dad had no idea where he was. If I were his wife, I would slap the #### out of him, then take every single penny he had in the divorce settlement.

You stop.

Apparently you didn't read the entire thread. When she returned the child the father said that the children were supposed to be elsewhere. Why the hell would he be looking for them if they were supposed to be somewhere that they had permission to be?

No, YOU stop

A 3 year old shouldn't be out wandering around without adult supervision. The very least the Dad could have done is called to see if they made it to their destination okay, and were where they were supposed to be.

Are you trying to tell me that your two come in and say, "Mom, we're going over to So-and-So's house" and you just go, "Okay, see ya later"?

Because I don't believe that.

If the kid had a cell phone he'd have been able to call his dad and tell him where they were going.

No but my mom does and apparently so do her neighbors kids. I said off the get that there were not enough specifics to crucify the man. I could stand on my parents back porch and spit on thier neighbors house. My kids go to my parents every Friday evening and it is no big thing for me to show up Saturday and my kids be next door or the neighbor kids be at my parents. It's a common and comfortable situation. We don't know ANY of the logistics of what this man told his kids they could do.
