Crocs and Escalators?

ABC News: Kids Hurt While Wearing Crocs on Escalators

I hadn't heard any of this until my mentioned it, and I decided to google it. Not sure if someone else hadn't heard of this problem before. I don't wear them but bf's son does. And I see kids all the time wearing them. I guess we will just have to be even more careful on the escalator.

I bought crocs in 03 because I felt they were great for kayaking and gardening, I don't wear them all over the place and just pulled them out of the closet so I could wash the car and dig in the garden. My son had a pair years ago as well, again wearing them in the water and garden and was it, never to play in or go to the mall, thats just silly.

I guess some people are all about fashion before function

I know they aren't the prettiest thing but they worked for me for the purpose I needed them to. So many people think they are cute, especially when they are fluffy lined and and have cute little plastic adornments you can decorated them with

They are comfort and function to me.
