What you have stated is not true. The reason you see more minorities out there to be adopted is because as a general rule the white children are adopted by immediate family/extended family, or foster parents. You rarely see hispanic children up for adoption because it's against thier beliefs. You see blacks more often, but it is not because there are not good black families looking to adopt. It's because of the stereotypes that go along with mixing the races in America. Generally, families, regardless of race prefer female children 5 and under. Once boys reach 7 to 10 years of age, they will not normally be adopted out of the system.

Children are children - they don't need to be part of the racism that is out there. They need good, loving families, regardless of color.

Biracial kids (black and white) are considered black. It isn't what Obama taught us, if you look back through American history, you will see that you were considered black until you were more than 1/8 or 1/16th black.

Anyway, I think this is stupid. I don't think whites need training on adopting a child to love. I can see a point where they might want to make sure the kids are culturally aware, but honestly, out of the few white couples who have black or biracial children, they are already quite aware, and teach lots of history to their kids.

Is it my imagination that the only race that’s suggesting “culture” classes is African Americans? If so, then its apparent AA’s have a identity crises on their hands. Another problem though is many AA’s regard the BET network as the cultural standard and prospective white parents may find difficulty teaching Ebonics correctly.
