she definately has low self-esteem. Also she feels that everyone owes her and her family everything..

She expects everything to be given to her for free or handed to her on a silver platter...

Like you said to each its own... I do... and only when it is called for. Other than that, my voice is raised well above my children and they know who's boss...

I know that's why I said that I didn't feel it was an adequate form of discipline for my child it was never necessary. I never said spanking was wrong, some might use it too much, some sparingly. A pop on the hand or backside might let a child know whats up but I was lucky enough to not have to use that method.

kids these days just disgust me. and yes, i understand that most of it comes from the lack of parenting. im barely out of being a kid myself, but I swear after my generation....it seems to really have started. I am so frustrated whenever I go to walmart, or the grocery store, or 7-11 and I hear these smart azz little sh*ts back talking their parents. I have actually had to be held back before from 'going off' on a little 12 year old girl because i was so frustrated and fed up with the BS coming out of her mouth to her mother. (behind me in line for 20 minutes at Wally). Yes, I am also aware this does not make me any better then them, and it would have done absolutely no good because at 25yo now, I might be labled the 'crazy lady' instead of embarrassing them at their peer level.
I do not have kids of my own, I think the only time I ever caught a back hand was being about 10 and thinking the B word was the most horrific thing I could call my sister, I am adjusted, and I work....
don't even get me started on how lazy and unwilling to work kids are...nother topic....
all you parents I just red through on here- keep up the good work! at least us in the 25yo bracket still beleive in discipline and respect and all of my friends agree that kids these days are just horrible.
