I'm very happy that I heard it from her first. However, had I heard it before she told me, then asked her if she was pregnant, I think she might have been disappointed if she were not the person to tell me. I could tell that it was an important moment for her.

You will surely know about your impending grandmotherhood before some stranger on the internet who doesn't even know you or your kids.

I found out I was pregnant on fb. Talk about being shocked.

Oh wow, Suz. I don't even know you.

Having known your sons in high school does not in any way give you the authority to underhandedly tell my mother my business.

I want you to know that had she known at the time that this thread was intended for her, you would have in fact stolen my "thunder." It was a stressful event for me, I was in tears telling my parents. I was scared and didn't know how they would react. Luckily, I have loving and supportive parents that reassured me that everything would be just fine.

Stay the hell out of my life. I hope I never have the misfortune of meeting you.

Chip off the ol' block

Congrats on your good news! And it will be just fine, you'll see.

If I hadn't read the entire thread before reading this post, I'd have thought you were coming out of the closet, not having children.

Oh, and congratulations either way.

Hah! Thanks.

And thanks to everyone else for the support. I had no intention of sharing this on the forums until my mom told me that my business had already made it here, so I really appreciate it taking a better turn. For the most part, this is a really great community :)

sue has a really big mouth. I just hope you don't get too stressed out about the whole world knowing about this before your mom even knew.

Congrats on the baby. Do you know what you are having yet? Try and take it easy and relax as much as you can :).

No stress. She's just like me, in that she doesn't like people in her business.

I will add that since this occurred, I've learned that "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" applies here. This is in reference to the part of the email that I did not post, because some things are just nobody's business.

I will also add that she was in possession of some incorrect information. Dang, those nasty rumors.
