Since you brought this up - personally, they'd be the last place I'd take useable clothing. A lot of those bins never get sorted and the clothes are just shredded for making insulation, etc. When you think about a lot of those bins being left exposed to the weather, it makes sense. All well and good if it's something that isnt serviceable, but you might as well just take that sort of clothing to the recycling center with cans and bottles, etc.

Better to do what you're doing with clothes that can be used again, or find a local charity that will resell or distribute. Good to see you taking the time to get clothes where they'll be used/appreciated. :)

I know a family who recently moved across the country to care for their quadriplegic son - while at the hospital their home burnt to the ground. They have only what they packed in carry on bags to their names and round the clock care means they are unable to go shopping.

Momma could use some clothes if they are her size...
