I always joked that I wanted to give birth to a 3 or 4 year old because I understand them and know what to do with them, but babies terrify me BUT I didn't want to be pregnant for 3 or 4 years. I wish scientists would have figured this out for me. I think its too late now though.

Not done baking yet.

Besides I'd like to finish my whole house top to bottom cleaning, car cleaning, oil change, and dog grooming... then he can come.

Would you feel this way if they were drinking hot or iced tea instead? It can have the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee or a shot of espresso.

Agreed.
I started drinking coffee when I was 13; kinda like a passage into adulthood.
Nobody had a problem with it then; but they do now. Before we got a Keurig one-cup coffee maker, I would make a 12 cup pot and drink it by myself over the course of a day. Now, I drink three, maybe four 8 oz. (approx.) cups a day.

I started on coffee (mochas, actually) when I was about 9. They were a treat, not an all day, every day sort of beverage. I think I started drinking regular coffee in high school. I was also raised in Washington state with espresso shacks on every street corner, so that could have some bearing.

I jokingly tell my husband that we won't start the older munchkin on coffee until he's at least 3, but I'm honestly going to delay it for as long as is feasible. We don't have a coffee pot in the house, I keep my Keurig at work. I also don't go out for fancy schmancy coffee on a regular basis because it costs double here what it did in WA. If I do happen to get one and will be consuming it where kiddo can see me, he gets a chocolate milk type beverage instead. I wish I'd delayed the chocolate thing longer, I've created a (very cute) monster.
