Giving away one of my Ferrets

Looking for someone who will take (for free) and care for a 1.5 year old male ferret in excellent health. He is black and white and is a little ball of energy. He DOESN'T bite or nip and is just as lovable as can be. We are just not around enough anymore for him. Just the ferret, no other accessories. His name is Nightmare. Will give away only to a good household.

Please PM me if you are interested.
Thanks

As a reward of good behavior, I took one of my girls to PetCo to pick out a treat or toy.

I walked her by the Cookie Bar and Rawhide Bar; she stopped at the ferret pen. I took her to the aisle of treats and bones; she led me back to the ferret pen. I went to the plush babies and squeaky things and open containers that other dogs seem to love; yet again she - like a heat seeking missile - went back to the ferret pen.

Should you be unsuccessful in finding Nightmare a home, I know of an 85lb Malamute that would give him lots of attention... No other accessories would be needed, I think.

What is up with all of the ferrets being rehomed lately? They are all over the classified section. People shell out $150 for the ferret, at least that much for a cage, toys, food, etc. Then they get it all home and realize that the cute little fuzzy ferret that sleeps all day in the store is really an animal with alot of energy that needs attention.

I don't think I'd adopt anything named "Nightmare."

I think it's a cool name. But I will never ever do a ferret again. Granted they're fun, but they stink no matter what you do. Ours was neutered, descented, bathed on a regular basis and his cage was kept clean, but he still smelled like stinky ferret.

Good luck!
