I thought Otter would die digging the hole for the doe. We aren't sure what happened to her..maybe hit by a car on the back road behind our property or something..she had no visible injuries. I called the county and asked when they could come get her. They said, "sorry, it's your deer."

You guys are awfully nice for burying her. I guess it's better than having a stinking carcass in your yard.

Yeah, the goat was a bad one for my dad....it was night time too. He didn't even move it out of the pasture. He just buried it right there.

You could have called, we DO have a tractor with a bucket!

Our dead deer we left in the yard.. yanno, ashes to ashes and etc.. etc..

Within two weeks (if that long) all that was left was a pile of bones

We bury ours in our yard also. I used to have neighbors that buried the placenta in the yard after they had their children at home. They had two!

You have weird neighbors. You sure you're not related to them?

This was a few years ago they rented the place next door from mom. It had something to do with their religion. However, you are correct I am related to the rest of this compound!!!
