Dumb question

If my cat were to die, could I bury her in my yard or do I have to take her to the vet and they'll do it?

Not that my cat is going to die anytime soon, but it's something that just popped into my head.

I even think you could bury your cat before it died.

Not if you're renting

My mother's cat died and the vet gave her a box to bury it in her backyard. I'd bury my pets in the backyard.

Have you ever seen the movie Pet Sematary?

I was just curious about this because I would rather have Claudia buried here at home than cremated or something.

No, but I always laugh because I figure in 50 years somebody will dig up the yard and figure we were into sacrificing animals.
