Which Camera is Best?

I need an opinion on which type of camera would be best for my project. I need a camera that is good with low level lighting (inside of buildings). Preferably would not need a tripod. I guess the aperature needs to remain open a long time to get a photo. These buildings will probably not all have electricity. for anything but natural daytime light.

Someone said the Canon 720 but it seems to still have a problem with good resolution.

Everytime I've seen someone ask this question it starts the Canon vs. Nikon war. LOL

You are giong to need an SLR for that kind of work. So it really depends more on the lens than the camera. And on how much you are willing to spend.

Are you getting a good deal on that lens? I've been meaning to get one myself, not ready to invest quite so much just yet. But I've been pretty good.

My main purpose for buying it was for a wedding in May, but I'm not going to shoot it after all........I'm sure I'll find a good use for the lens though.

Kathryn, you have narrowed it down a little, but what exactally are you trying to do? And why no tripod? THis would help narrow things down and to know weather you need a 1.4 aperture lens.
