There are a lot of sites out there...this one has some good step by step tutorials in adjustments and compositions...

i only have 1 question an dit has to do with the quick selecrtion tool in CS3....it wants to act like the magic wand tool, the first click is ok but after that it wants to select just about everything
i have adjusted every setting available.....
my desired outcome to to be able to select just what is in the pointer and nothing else

Should only do this when holding ctrl down. I pulled mine up, not doing it. Maybe
re-set tools?
The selection should change every click unless your holding ctrl at the same time...

Looking around for photoshop...I noticed the "speed painting in photoshop" on u tube...quite fascinating actually. I tried doing a self portrait using the pencil, etc. Brought up a picture in photoshop. Then opened a new document with a white back...brought the opacity to about 30% so you could see the picture underneath and just drew where the outlines were. I am sure with time you could really do some cool work.
