"This card cannot be used"

I bought a new 1 gb SD card for my digitial camera. The car is made by Kodak; camera is a Toshiba. I put the card in, and the aforementioned message flashes up on my camera screen.

The card instructions say if it doesn't work to reformat it in the device. How the heck do I do that?

There will be a menu option on the camera to do so.

I looked but nothing it jumping out at me on the list of menu options to do it. Most of the menu options pertain to the camera settings itself (lcd display, size of photos, preview, etc.).

The only menu option pertaining to the card is "Card Info" which shows how much memory it has and how much is free.

It does do movies, too, but it's primarily a digital camera (it's not one of newer fancy multi-function digital cameras; it's about 5 years old).

Is there a website I can go to that will allow me to reformat the card on my computer?

I ain't readin' no stinkin' manual!
