Actually, it makes one wish they were on the water.
I disagree.
It brought back and allowed me to experience for just a brief moment when it was me standing there like that.
The smell of the water, the low steady drone of the diesel, the sound of the bow dropping into the trough, the cool crisp air...

but then it all comes back to an office with walls and imitation cool air seasoned with sticks of incense to create an imitation smell to try and make you think that you could be somewhere that you arent.

Great picture.
Next time use a female in a bikini. thank you in advance.

you might be right, look at the shadows of the boat in the spray, then compare it to the position of the sun.
shouldnt the shadows be on the other side of the boat?

that being said, I think that photoshop is a tool like any other, properly used it can be a great addition to any photo. Using photoshop is easy, using it well is a bit harder.

still a great picture.

Good eye for the shadows. They go in both directions when you get balanced in cross light. Yes PS used well is todays darkroom.

Yep I tried and tried , some folks tense up when they know the camera is on them. A skill I lack is getting people to ease up. I need to work on my people skills , cracking jokes n such to break the tension.

That was my first thought too, but besides that, the lighting, background detail captured is breath-takingly beautiful.

I like the strobist site I have a couple of "Poverty wizards" and monkeyed around a little but nothing spectacular.

I like your idea, my only input, maybe place the strobe a a little higher?

DE...the use of fill flash is great... still have trouble getting the fill right for the conditions. Used correctly, as here...things come out great. Nice work. Most images used corretly with "fill" have an almost studio look to them. Nice capture. I can see I need to be shooting more!

Fantastic!!

Would you share the file info on the settings with us'ens??
