Fall Color reports??? Post'em if you got'em

Is anyone noticing some good color change around the area? Maybe noticed a good place for photo opportunity with the leaves changing. Lets hear about it. Give a description and location please.

Around Cedar Cove (Gate 3 of Base) there doesn't seem to be much color, but leaves are starting to get a lighter green. We have so many evergreen and holly type trees it is hard to notice color changes.

Anyone been by St Mary's Lake......what are the colors like over there?

Post it

Great idea! We've had some gorgeous falls the last few years. With all the spring/summer rain, this one should be awesome!

Thanks Baja, I hope for this thread to give people ideas of where to shoot and get some reports from St. Mary's and Calvert.

At the same time, lets NOT let this become a general discussion post.

Just post REPORTS or INFO in this thread. If you have a question or comment that pertains to a report and is useful to the masses, post it. If you want to chit chat about something send a PM or start another thread. That makes it easier for someone to find the useful info in the post and not have to ready a bunch of chatting back and forth.

Thanks

I noticed that the dogwood trees along Hollywood road between Rt. 235 and Leonardtown were starting to show more color today. Some of the red maple in the same area are also starting to get a blush on them.

I have been given permission to take some photos on one of the farms around Leonardtown with very old barns and out buildings. Can't wait for some good light and fall color to get started on that.

Around this time last year (maybe a couple of weeks later), Hubby and I hit Gilbert Run and there were some beautiful colors! We'll be heading towards Luray in a couple of weeks. I'll be sure to take some pics! I can't wait to see everyone's pics!
