Maybe you can leave him on the Libertarians' doorstep...

Oh no, you created him, reared him in the boosom of liberalism and scrambled his brain, you are responsible. Now do the right thing and take him back.

Your quote has the beginning and end, but the middle was lifted out. So yes...you're quote is taken out of context.

I can't believe I have to explain this.
Hillary Clinton gaffe over Martin Luther King may cost votes in South Carolina - Times Online

I Google'd to make sure I got the exact quote and this is the first source that came up with any quote that was not a blog.

It's rather unfortunate that you chose that site to base your "Hillary's complaining that her quote was taken out of context" thread...isn't it.

She was right. Her quote was taken out of context.

Strange how I found the entire quote on my first try.

Typical liberal, try some great social experiment and when it goes bad and you create a monster you cast it off for everyone else to deal with. :middlefinger:

He wasn't this broken when he went to your side. It's obvious the real damage occurred over there.

It's pointless to debate it...we don't take returns without a receipt.

Andy, stop it. Seriously, or I'm going to get the Republican Party to officially disavow you.

Hillary's comment was not the racial hay the media made of it. Obviously they are not "protecting" her because they spun this drama out of nothing. (Ha ha, Shrillary, how does it feel?)

LBJ in fact got Congress to pass the Civil Rights Act, AND he put Thurgood Marshall in the Supremes. He is well-known for his commitment to civil rights and liberal social programs, and if you did not know this then you weren't paying attention in history class.

So stop talking out your ass because you're wrong.

If it was not for Dr. King, none of it would've happened. I'm not trying to downplay the accomplishments of the Civil Rights Act not am I spinning Shrillary's comments.

The part where the media is protecting her is when they keep saying (and yes, even on FOX News) that Mr. Obama is making race an issue out of this. Up until Monday, his campaign had said nothing of Mrs. Clinton's comments. By then, FOX and MSNBC were already saying OBAMA was making race an issue.

I agree, some neocon elements in the media have taken her comments out of context. But, if ANY Republican had said that, you know MSNBC, CNN and FOX would not have clarified their remarks. Shall I remind you of Senator Trent Lott?

I believed, from the beginning, Sen. Lott's comments were spun out of context by leftists proclaiming he was racist. All he had said was something along the lines of the world would be a better place if Strom Thurmond was elected President. Considering he made those remarks on his birthday, it was just words of praise, something to make him feel better.

I guess I should've clarified my remarks. I'm not bashing Hillary, I'm bashing the media for clearly being on her side. MSNBC, mostly of them all, has been spinning and weaving ever since Hillary annouced her candidacy and all of a sudden Media Matters got real quiet about what these networks say.
