I've never seen the media...

... go to such great lengths to protect a politician.

If ANY Republican had made the comment about LBJ and MLK that Shrillary made, you know the media would've front and center. But it's Hillary, so it's different.

They keep saying that she did priase MLK and her comments were taken out of context. HOW?

Quote:

It also takes a Congress to get it done, and a Supreme Court that has to verify the Constitutionality of the law. Other than that, yes she is right.

Does anybody really honestly believe LBJ would've given a hoot had Dr. King not made his famous speech in front of the masses on the National Mall?

So, the media's got to spinning by stating her comments were taken out of context by Barack Obama (who never said or released anything after her verbal commentary).

WHERE? HOW?

Obama said nothing. How is he turning this into a race matter. Hillary Clinton said it, and somehow Obama's making this a race war?

Just more evidence the media's fighting for Hillary. Ugh, this is just grotestly disgusting. Their bias is so evident.

You just took her words out of context.

Here is what she said:
Quote:
Said Clinton, "Dr King’s dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy was hopeful to do, the president before had not even tried, but it took a president to get it done."

She continued; "That dream became a reality, the power of that dream became real in people’s lives, because we had a president who said ‘we’re going to do it,’ and actually got it done."

How is that different? The second paragraph is the same thought process as the first - somebody said something great, and the president made it happen.

Personally, I think she was more disrespectful to Kennedy than to MLK, but that's just me.

Isn't she giving a lot of credit to LBJ.

And, no I didn't take her comments out of context. SHE brought it up, and her friends at Media Matters have finally bullied the media enough to the point that they blamed BARACK OBAMA.

All I did was quote her and clarify the fact that a bill has to go through Congress.

And still, if MLK hadn't made his "I have a dream" speech, Lyndon Johnson wouldn't have done a thing.

It's obvious to anybody who can read that your quote was out of context.

This is what you quoted her as saying:

Quote:
Dr King’s dream began to be realised when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done.
And this is what she actually said.

Your quote has the beginning and end, but the middle was lifted out. So yes...you're quote is taken out of context.

I can't believe I have to explain this.
