I'm with you Larry. McCain has not distinguished himself in the Senate.

Ironically, it was a so-called "conservative" Republican's who caused enough hate and discontent that put Billary in the White House back in 92. Now, we've got enough bozo's complaining that the Republican Front-runner "isn't conservative" enough. Gentlemen....you all must be closet liberals...because all this bloviating is gonna get us is President "HillBilly" (aka Clinton Part II) Before Christmas, McCain's campaign was left for dead, his advisors deserted him, the press dismissed him as someone wasn't relevant anymore either. Somehow he battled back. You all can complain all you want....but faced with a choice between Obama or Hillary on one side and John McCain on the other....which one are you all gonna make? If you don't choose McCain Bru or Larry...then you two deserve a double helping of bad kharma Wake up, face reality, and if you don't like it....move. P-3's? isn't that is like saying that you really wanted to join the friggin' Air Farce? Fighters rock! CVN's rock! I collected Sea Pay on Midway, Enterprise, Ranger, Indy, Kitty Hawk, Vinson, IKE, and Essex...never spent a "sea" tour living the "Q" collecting per diem.

...the race isn't over so what does it say about your mindset that you note McCain fought his way back after being down and you seem to be excited about that yet now you want his opponents to just quit and cede the race? Nonsense. McCain is a very flawed candidate for my vote and that's not news to me. He's worked hard and long to earn my disapproval. There's a moment of truth we all get to make when we cast our ballot. Can I live with a vote for someone who has actively given me reason to not support them yet claims to be on team? Or do I risk someone who at least as the honesty to declare they are not on my side? I will take a clear cut opponent where at least I know what I am working against over someone on my team who spends as much time working against me as for me. If you don't like it, feel free to change your address.

There are valid arguments against every candidate's positions. I have extreme policy disagreements with Obama and Clinton. I have extreme disagreements with Clinton regarding behavior, trustworthiness and judgment. I have less disagreement with Romney on policy issues than McCain. I also trust McCain less than Romney. There will never be a perfect candidate, one picks the best fit for one's ideals. Quit hacking on fellow sailors. This isn't an e-penis contest.

And I have fewer issues with McCain than I do the others. Romney has a long record of flip-flopping on the issues....he has supported gay "unions", and has personally "hired" illegal aliens. Abortions? He has supported it. Bottomline...if you don't like Romney's position...wait a day and he'll change it completely. I wouldn't mind him running a company that I have stock in as he does seem to be able to return profits to shareholders. I wouldn't mind going to a church that had Huckabee as Pastor, heck I'd probably go out of my way to go there. I just don't think either Romney nor Huckabee have the qualifications to be Commander In Chief. McCain has a long record of building coalitions to get things accomplished, and when building those so-called strategic relationships, you have to reach out to those with opposing view points. He doesn't pander to the Rush Limbaugh's of the world (who by the way is a convicted drug-abuser, how did he avoid jail for that?) who insists that they are arbiters of who a conservative is. To my brothers in the Military: Our last couple of administrations have been led by those who avoided the draft and military service. (GWB did sign up for the National Guard, but didn't show up much, did he?) I'm tired of having Chickenhawks (those who dodged Military service) send our brothers and sisters into harms way. One of the un-written principals that was drilled into me was that I don't ask anyone to do something I wouldn't or haven't done. (it was actually a whole lot less politically correct than that!). Wouldn't it be nice to have a Commander In Chief who had actually been in the arena...and served in a lot more challenging circumstance than any of us have? I do admit you all have the right to your own opinions, however wrong they may be. I do hope that it is your own opinion and you're not parroting Rush or Hannity or the other knotheads.

Also, 'reaching' out to others to promote poor legislation doesn't score points with me.
