So if you are part of a "team" that beats a person to either death or a near like state, then that is okay ? I don't think that is what you mean, but this mob mentality is questionable at best. As you recall, I have said I am no longer a Dem...I have lost faith in them. As I have gotten older, I begin to see the wisdom of being a libertarian.... Obama, is a dichotomy...a master politician, but a naive human being. We have had too many master politicians AND naive human beings in charge. While I fault the press with their convoluted attempts to shape the country's mental processes, I blame Me...you and every other American for looking for a savior to lead us when the leaders are Me, you and every other American.
Usually we try to vote in the person that we best think exemplifies our visions, but the one thing we are taught in this land is each of us has an individual vision. As you can tell, that many visions would be an impossibility
to contain in one person.
We need to stop looking for a savior. We need to find a REAL leader, not a feel good sloganeer. I cannot help but stifle a laugh when I look at the ads for Obama...again, he reminds me of Jerry Brown, Jr (Save the earth...Explore space !)Moonbeam, indeed. However, Americans nowadays are so caught up in the cycle of life survival, that I sadly think this hunt for an easy avatar will continue. Obama looks good because he makes his supporters feel good. However, I don't want to feel good..I want to know that the person elected to the most powerful chair in the country has the interests of ALL the people foremost in his mind, that the land's borders are secure, that our currency is strong and home industry be here once more in this country.
I don't think that is too much to ask for....As Americans we want what was used to be called "a fair deal". Not a new deal. not a new frontier...a fair deal.
I don't sense a fair deal from the Obama people, just "payback" for injustices past. As I said before, if we are in the injustice repair business, I think we should begin with the native Americans. However, that is material for a brand new subject.

A wresling match

No holds barred, anything goes...Hillary has Mcain in a choke hold, Obama jumps on her head, Huckaby is running away, Ron Paul (whom I thought was a rapper) runs into him, and edwards is screaming as he jumps out of the ring. Total mayhem...

The whole flippin process has gotten outta hand. Candidates start their campaigns six months out, hold a national primary for both parties the same day three months out, only party members can vote in their primary. Last three months, anything goes, throw McVain's first amendment stifling B.S. in the crapper where it belongs, let anyone say what they want, knock down drag out for the last three months, elect a doofus or whatever to the presidency and no do-overs like in 2000.
