Code Pink and the Berkeley city council don't care about freedom.

No, as shocking as it may be to radical anti-military haters, the overwhelming majority of young soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines like myself are deeply proud of the choice we made. As shocking as it may seem to the Code Pink crowd, we feel blessed to have been given the chance to defend our nation and be steeled and shaped by those charged with leading us.

Ironically, for people who claim to be “tolerant,” “open-minded,” and “peace-loving,” theBerkeley protestors and their ilk proved just what a sham their operation truly is. If they were really interested in saving the lives of innocents, they would listen to the countless stories veterans bring back from Iraq about pivotal moments of decision that saved lives—both American and Iraqi.

That is exactly what I was thinking about earlier today!! I have said before, I am pretty liberal (aside from my guns)--but I have also served--and this whole thing really makes me mad!

They are only tolerant and open minded to people that believe and say things they believe in.. They are not tolerant of people that consider themselves patriots, and WANT to serve their country, they are NOT tolerant of ANYONE in uniform no matter the reason they are wearing it.

The most intolerant peole in the world are the ones that sit on their thrones and sream TOLERANCE!!

Seriously! I read that one of council members was a vet who felt like he had been tricked by the military.

If they want to protest the Marines, the government, the war--whatever... then that is their right. How dare they try to decide for others where the Marines should and should not recruit. I think they are distgusting and they don't deserve federal funds.
