| I saw a couple of articles on that, My guess is I dont understand it because its a black thing. I dont see any other way to shine a light on it. It may sound racist, but what other reason can it be? Especially when you read the mission statement from her church. I feel sorry for her if she has lived all this time with no patriotism, no love of her native land, and this IS her native land. No matter if she calls herself Afro-American instead of American. Has she no pride in the people of color who have fought in this country to give her what she has now. Fought in America's wars and in the Civil Rights wars. Perhaps she would like to go somewhere , where she feels she could have more pride. I challenge her to find such a place. As far as I know Mrs. Obama has had a pretty comfortable life here in this country. Where else in this world would she have a chance of becoming the wife of a President without use of force? |

Well, the press, so enamored of her husband and obviously the Oprah mystique, are either too much in love or downright afraid of committing PC suicide. They refuse to see the other side of Obama and are willing to give him a pass even though, personally, I think his patriotism is a bit in question. Now he stands to become president. As you said, I question her motives...she is "proud" for the first time to be an American ? So how old is she ? So then all this time she has hated this country yet took advantage of all the benefits that were open to her? In another land , these same advantages would have been available only if she was part of the upper crust . I think there are a lot of ulterior motives that bear looking at before those so inclined to vote for her husband pull that lever. So what happens if her husband loses ? Does she go back to being unproud ? | |

| This is just the tip of the iceberg of what typifies American thinking today. Especially those on the left. No sense of history. Nothing really relevant to them that goes back any farther than the 60s. They are angry at a country that hasn’t given them enough. The generation that expected of themselves (“The Greatest Generation”) is slowly dwindling away. They realize this country is what THEY made it and not what some government gave them. And they realize the cost. And they are PROUD of their sacrifice and hard work. This next generation (that is aiming to take charge) has grown to believe they are owed everything. It makes me think back to my parents making statements like “I dread the day these people are running our country”. Well, here they are folks. The entitlement crowd. The crowd that demands of others and not of themselves. They’re not proud because they didn’t take their history (OUR HISTORY) to heart. They’re not proud because they have no reference for why we are free. They’re not proud because they have no sense self-responsibility and in that they lost their sense of self-worth. Blame someone else, and when that fails, blame the government. Maybe I think this way because I got to watch my parents work their butts off, struggling to make ends meet, never asking anyone else for help, never demanding from others or (especially) our government. They knew that once you expected someone else to fix it for you, you became dependent; and there is nothing to be proud of in dependency. This country is not going to be great because we had a government that fixed our problems. It’s going to be great because WE made it that way. Obama (et al) doesn’t get that. They look to the government as their guide, compass and what gives them their sense of worth and pride. What a shame all those years lost waiting for this moment to be proud of this country. It’s always been right in front of her. End of Speech.

| One thing is pretty clear; Obama better do a damn good job once he is in office or it is going to be a black mark on black Americans for decades.

| Before or after he raises taxes, initiates universal health care, opens the borders, increases welfare, starts having non-followers beheaded and orders all the wimmins to wear burkas?

| Being a black mark on black Americans is the least of his worries. Being the center on every rifle range target could be worse.
