So far Cindy (his current wife) McCain hasn't come out with any anti-American statements. The lefties on here like to pule and whine about Democrats being called names and having their patriotism questioned, but I'm not sure how else you would take Michelle Obama's "for the first time in my adult lifetime" comment. She has shown signs of being what we call a "serious Sister" but I'd never heard of her being quite so blatant as she was the other day.

"My record is one of progress, not platitudes. My record is one of specifics, not smiles. My record is one of performance, not promises." Jimmy waltzed into the Oval Office pretty much on anger from Watergate and nothing else. He promised "why not the best?" and "I'll never lie to you" but was shockingly short on substance. As angry as the American voter was over Watergate - it was STILL CLOSE. At least Bill promised to end welfare as we know it (a promise he basically kept) and a middle class tax cut (a promise he never came close to keeping). Even though I disagreed with some of the things he said he'd do, he had plans. Jimmy pretty much smiled his way in, as Obama is doing now. I'm getting tired of "change" "hope" and "tomorrow". I realize that dreamers will get him nominated, but it won't last till November.

| It's kind of disturbing that so many people would rally to the word "change", yet not think to ask exactly WHAT the changes will be.

Personally, I think she'll lose, in the end. I think perhaps the Democratic Party has got to realize that the Clintonesque way of doing things - dismissive of clearly illegal activity because of how right he is for the country - is over with, especially when they have a potential winner on their hands. At this point - I don't think Barack is going to be a very good President if he wins. He has charsima, but he's inexperienced and politically weak. Dreamers often are. You have to have the balls to make your dreams work. Two quotes come to mind: "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them." Henry David Thoreau and "All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake to find that it was vanity; But the dreamers of day are dangerous men, that they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible. This I did." T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) You've gotta do a lot more than dream, or your ideas will inspire but nothing will come of it. You have to have the balls to make it happen.

I always thought it was fascinating that one that they had was the man; James Carville. Such a loyal soldier was he.

| Google it. It's noted in several biographies. I think I read about it on Wikipedia. |

We are seriously thinking of turning over America to people who despise it. Obama doesnt wear a flag on his lapel. He claims he wears his patriotism in his heart not on his lapel. Is that any reason not to honor the flag by not placing your hand over your heart when the anthem is played? His wife let out a freudian slip when she stated this is the first time she has been proud of America, yet she and her husband have been sucking on the Illinois government tit for years, they are sucking on the federal government tit now, and want to suck on the Presidential government tit in the future. Yet this is the first time she has been proud ? Can her husbands feelings be that far from hers?? Her husband was elected a State Senator in illinois,in a free America, and she wasnt proud?? He was elected to serve the State of Illinois in Washington DC and she wasnt proud? Give me a friggin break. Read this article , you may not fully agree with her conclusions, and how she reaches them, but you have to admit there is something to what this researcher says .Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome -- In These Times
