NY Times Reporting McCain Linked Romantically

with a 40 year old female lobbyist. Half listening to Olberman. Anyone else catching this?

No offense, but having been in the media business for a while, the NY Times is the least reputable most untrustworthy news source out there.

Also, I want to mention from this point forward, everything that comes out against a politician running for president is intentional "spin" that has been leaked by another politician whose running for president's campaign. In short, all rumours, slander and negative publicity is most likely unbelievable and inaccurate.

Example - Sam works with Nancy. She's been to his house plenty of times for social functions. They've worked late together on projects and they've even made business trips together with other coworkers. Sam runs for president. Kitty runs for president. Kitty's team digs for dirt and they find Sam had late nights with Nancy.....ooooohhhh la la. So they court the favor of a less than reputable media outlet and the headlines scream the next day "Sam cheats on wife with Nancy", which then gets picked up by other media sources and so on until it's proved otherwise (which doesn't get reported) or until it dies a natural death cause nobody is interested.

I'm not saying it isn't true, however, if the NY Times are involved I doubt it.

Besides, McCain's wife is hot.

I agree! I think it's only going to get worse. I keep wondering what 'they' could possibly dig up on Obama. Hillary and Obama are playing nice, relatively speaking. However, when it comes down to McCain and Obama (I think)--I wonder how mean it's going to get.

The lobbyist looks like a younger cuter version of Cindy. From what they're saying it's been known in DC for quite some time now and McCain's staff has been warning him not to spend so much time with her and warned her to keep away from him.

Yep - well that sounds like there is nothing done wrong - just like the story I made up. It's all about how you present the information and how it's perceived. Plus, a young version of Cindy is their daughter so, it's entirely possible he did like hanging out with the woman and working with her cause she reminded him of both his wife and daughter and entirely possible he didn't see anything wrong with it nor did she, however, campaign advisors can see the potential bad spin out of it and therefore very astute warnings. Not anything bad, just trying to prevent drama down the road.

However, if you as a media person, were to present the facts in an innuendo kind of way, well then you made it sound very naughty indeed, without actually committing libel/slander. Trust me, the media knows how to spin it. It's up to you the public to look at it with one eyebrow raised and think it through.
