Mayor or Grand Marshall?

As some of you know, Im not in Smibville anymore. I do miss it. Anyway, the very small town that I now live in, I just found out is home to the KKK. Didnt know any of this when we moved here. all in all, so far not a terrible place to live. Some have said I should run for mayor of this tiny town because they need someone outspoken to take up causes around here. Heres my question, should I run for Mayor or Grand Marshall? Ive got clothes for the mayor job, but Id have to hit up a Macys white sale for a new wardrobe for the Gr marshall job. Thank God, karma is gone.

Just start putting Obama bumper stickers on your car and wearing an Obama for President pin. That ought to get you some votes there.

You're in Illinois?

Grand Marshall is the guy in the Macy's parade, right? It's usually Santa Claus for the Thanksgiving parade.

From what I hear, there are only 2 black people in town and they tend to stay in and behave themselves. This one guy came into a small intown food place, sat at the bar quietly, placed his order, and left. My husband cant believe this is still happening in this day and age. I find it comfortable after living 20 yrs in Gr Mills. Like someone said earlier in another thread, you cant swing a dead cat without hitting....you get it.

What's wrong with that?

How do you know you live in a KKK town? Are there regular cross burnings in the square or something? I'd think that there would be NO black people living in a town with active KKK, especially if it's a small town.

Theres nothing wrong with it. I just found it different from where I came from. In gr mills, a black person will speak their mind, here not so much. Ive been here over a month and been in town several times and NEVER see any black. And yes, Vrai, you would think NO blacks, but alas, 1 really brave one. And it didnt take long for us to find out, its outwardly spoken around here. I havent seen any crosses being burnt YET! Maybe its a summer activity. I cant seem to find Bingo. Maybe Illl attend a meeting and take pictures.
