Thank NASA.
Historically, military programs drove technology. Now most of the highest tech is in the commercial market, and the military is trying to use that technology. I don't buy the argument that we will get a return on continued investment in space exploration.

Satellite communications can be maintained commercially. Military and intelligence launches can still be handled by the Air Force.

I just don't see NASA as a good use of tax dollars when money is tight.

Thank you.

We only learn by seeking. We only improve by pushing against our perceived boundaries and limitations.

Not to mention all the kickass innovations we now have as a secondary result of NASA's space program.

Of course, this revelation about Obama's plan is only effective once we know the other candidates' position.

Actually, this plan could only be effective if he convinces Congress to go along with it. That's why he can say it without even intending to do it.

...matter. Perception is reality. The perception is he is not so bright after all.

And many thought the same way when Christopher Columbus sought funding for his trip across the Atlantic.

My point is that if Hillary and McCain have the exact same plans for NASA, it is no longer a player...as far as voting.
