Coulter Ups Violent Rhetoric on Obama

"Although Ann Coulter originally achieved fame as a right-wing pundit by talking about President Clinton's penis on national TV, since 9/11 she has turned most of her attention to framing Democrats as terrorists.

During one TV spot in 2003, Coulter said, "Liberals...want there to be lots of 9/11s" (see Outright Barbarous, 74-75), followed by an entire book (Treason) in which she argued that the goal of Liberalism is the destruction of American civil society -- the violent idea that frames most of Coulter's writing since 2002.

Lately, Coulter has focused her violent rhetoric at Sen. Barack Obama, in particular on spreading the defamatory idea that the sitting Senator and leading candidate for president is a terrorist. Coulter kicked this rhetoric into high-gear in her Apr 23 column which includes the line:

"Obama pals around with terrorists."

Well, at least she doesn't physically assault handicapped children.

Another example!

This sort of kookery would embarrass a normal person, but this guy is on HuffPost, where kooks abound. So to him, his stupidity is normal because everyone around him is stupid, too.

They could at least include context. It was actually a pro-Obama statement:

Quote:
On one hand, Obama pals around with terrorists. On the other hand, Hillary pals around with James Carville. Advantage: Obama.
Besides, it was 100% true. The Weathermen are terrorists. Obama pals around with them. What's wrong with saying so?

I will again say that labeling the Weathermen terrorists is an insult to terrorists. Terrorists don't phone their attacks in to their targets like someone ordering a pizza.

"Hello Dominos, this is the Weathermen. We need a media splash special, so could you guys please empty the building in 30 minutes or less? Oh, and we need an order of breadsticks too."

The idots at ELF have done far more damage than the Weathermen could ever hope to, and the only people they ever hurt or killed were themselves. I'm sure real terrorists look at the Weathermen as the NYPD looks at the Keystone Cops.

Yeah Bru: The weathermen are really nice guys, I can see why Obama pals around with them.

Man, if you hate McCain or Bush enough you can look the other way to anything. Too many people are doing just that.

Please... the Weathermen weren't terrorists. They never had any intentions to use terror as a weapon. They wanted to bring attention to an issue, i.e., the Vietnam War. Terrorists want to kill and destroy to strike fear into their victims. Groups like the weathermen felt that there wasn't enough attention being paid to the anti-war movement and wanted more publicity, which is why they called their targets ahead of time and warned them to evacuate. Huge difference there.

Actually I hate McCain but like Bush... although that like is deminishing by the day. And I hate to break it to you, but as for "you can look the other way to anything. Too many people are doing just that", that also applies to people who like McCain.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Victims of Terrorism [1]Terrorism, in the modern sense,[2] is violence against civilians to achieve political or ideological objectives by creating fear.[3] Most common definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants. Some definitions also include acts of unlawful violence and war.
I believe the shoe still fits

It is absolutely crucial for Americans to shine a light on this problem. When a major figure in print and broadcast media repeatedly accuses a U.S. senator of being a genocidal dictator and a terrorist, the American people have a right to protest.
First he complains that she gets to speak her piece on national television, then he complains she doesn't get enough public attention. :typicalprogressive:

Oh I get it, violence as in every time she goes to make a speech somewhere some left-wing kook launches some projectile in her direction in a violent attack on her.
