...the most plausible scenario I can see. He'd be a hero if he didn't make the STD's do their job. Dean would have his baby to save him what he's going through now.

If he's smart he'll go on TV and offer the deal to Hillary. If she rejects it, she comes off as the sore loser and him as the gracious noble winner, and if she accpets it, she has to withdraw

Just like if he was smart, he'd go on TV about the debate she wants, and say..

"Who's she to dictate the format of the debate? That's what the person in the lead, the winner, they make those decisions!!" She's trying to present herself as the person in the lead, as the person winning the nomination, and he's letting her do it.

Why should the leader in pledged delegates drop out?

The fact is: Hillary should've dropped out ages ago. But, she's the wicked witch of the east. She's going to continue burning houses down 'til she gets there.

I can hear it right now: "I'll get you my pretty, and your little 'change' too."

...not a fact. That is your opinion. FACT is that an awful lot of people like the wicked witch of the East. Fact is a lot of people voted for her. Fact is this race is a dead heat and the problems with Michigan and Florida are not her fault nor can they be swept under the rug.

Fact is the Dem party built this system to keep flashes in the pan like Barack Hussein Obama, editor Harvard Law review, rock star, from going on to lose in epic, McGovern-esque proportions in the fall.

Now, whether they choose to use their machinery or not is a fascinating question.

...the term 'pledged' delegates is misleading. They are delegates, not errand boys and girls. They are not required to go the way their state or district went.

Hillary, obviously, can beat McCain and should get the nomination because Obama can not win, but, for the STD's to actually select her instead of selecting Obama, they face the threat of an open revolt by kids and elites.

It is fascinating to watch anyone argue that Obama and his wife and there garage full of leftist baggage have a snowballs chance in hell of being elected President of the United States of America.
I think you're oversimplifying the equation. Hillary cannot win with her unfavorables. Too many people know her, and know what a scumbag she is. And her hubbie has stepped on his crank enough to remind even the die hard Clinton fans of what eight years of him trying to resurrect his legacy while First Hubbie would be like.

Obama's downfall is going to be his leftist positions... provided the Republicans ever wake up and start addressing them.

But McCain is no shoe-in either. K-5 is going to wear big on McCain and there are a LOT of Republicans who will not vote for him.

To add some complexity to your prediction, I see Hillary losing the Dem nod and running as a Third Party candidate, which will make it interesting to see how many votes she pulls from Obama. That would be the race to watch as those who are saying "I don't care who we nominate..." would have to pick sides.

I think the other thing to watch is McCain. The guy has a serious self-destruct personality, and he could easily detonate once the media turns all their guns on him... especially the media types he's seen as friends when he was their Useful Idiot.

Yeah... and they could all arrive at the convention dressed as alien Elvises... but they probably won't.

There's that media bias again.
A LOT of people keep hearing "Hilliary cannot get enough delegates to win" and construe that to mean Obama can. Neither can get enough votes to secure the nomination without landslide wins in the remaining primaries.

FYI: Obama is not going to win. Hillary was selected as the nominee months ago but the Dems like to appear to be the party of the people so they go through the motions of primaries to keep the "Guns and God" sheeple happy.
