New polls...

Clinton beats McCain 50% to 40%, 10% undecided, Obama and McCain in a dead heat.

I think that seals it. With the Wright story, Clinton up in polls, Clinton winning PA and Clinton's supporters vowing not to vote for Obama, it's obvious. Clinton wins the nomination.

Might as well start applying for citizenship elsewhere. All of a sudden, Costa Rica doesn't sound that bad.

Is that the same poll that showed Obama overtaking Hillary in PA? Polls are meaningless at this point as no one who really knows politics knows these early pools are meaningless. McCain has been coasting for months and once the heat gets turned up... everything is going to change. I'm sure the Superdelgates are smart enough to know all this.

I think the polls are skewed by the Dem's split.

Ask a Hillary supporter "Obama vs. McCain" and they might say McCain today, but will they really pull the (R) switch in November?

Given several months of "McCain = Bush" advertising by the eventually unified Dems, even the Dems habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory might not be enough to help McCain.

What I don't understand is it's a pretty well documented fact that most voters don't make up their mind until a month or less before the election, and yet so many people go worrying about polls seven months out. They are worthless.
